Be A Self Governing Human – What Does it Take?

What does it mean to be self-governing?  Do you really need someone else, or some religious or political group to tell you what is inherently right or wrong?  Do you need some outside authority to tell you it’s wrong to kill someone else?  Is that really too hard for a human to comprehend?  What about being a nice person to others, just in general?  I’ve observed that a natural human will simply be kind when meeting others, and will not haul off and begin attacking out of nowhere.  The reality is, all people have the capacity to self govern, and that is where your true power is.

Do you need someone outside yourself to tell you what to think?  What to where, how to dress?  Do the belief systems of others, really need to be installed into your brain  before you realize the natural outcommes of your actions?  There is a simple system in place in the universe, called cause and effect.  The effects of your causality are the natural outcomes of those actions, and they can be observed to have positive or negative repurcussions.  It is through this process that a human grows and learns the consequences to their choices, and understands that in the end – it is only us governing our own thoughts, perceptions, and behaviours – and that is where we all need to be right now.  When the governments fail us, when the religious figures are marred in dishonour, or when deceipt runs rampent through the over reach of power, all of those systems we put our faith into have failed, or are failing us.  This is observably true.

So where does that leave us?  It leaves us right back where we started, as natural humans, self governing, with the highest principles in mind – love, peace, freedom, choice, self discovery, celebbration and joy of our right to enjoy life as we choose, as long as that does not come at the expense of someone else.  That is the power of self governing, and that is where we all need to be right now.
